Hey WFU 2017! I'm actually in UNC 2017, but as a long-time NC resident and somebody who heavily considered WFU for both UG and law school, I enjoy lurking around the threads for the nearby schools. Anyways, the most popular banks in NC are Bank of America, Wells Fargo, and BB&T. All of these are headquartered in NC and have branches throughout the state and nearby states. PNC is another solid choice, but not quite as many branches. I do believe BB&T offers some special deals for students of Wake Forest much like Wells Fargo offers UNC students. Hope this is helpful, and sorry to invade your board. If nobody has said it yet, welcome to North Carolina and I hope y'all enjoy your time here :D
Thanks for stopping by and for the tips for us non-NC natives!

Gah, it's so tempting... And I was just planning on driving from California on Sunday too...

It is really tempting. Unfortunately as of yesterday I'm out of a job and a place to live if I were to stay here so I'm pretty much committed at this point.

LOL

Quitting your job is liberating. Nothing wrong with deferring if you can get a better deal. Go, travel, volunteer, be a bum.

I turned off my cell and spent an entire summer, during undergrad, train hopping and camping. Doing odd jobs around the country. That, and two years living in Europe, as a poor kid, were some of the best experiences I can advocate for.

Try it. Do not be a sissy =)

Awesome! Starting on Friday, I was worried they'd have us doing stuff on the weekend.

Is anyone else considering deferring?

I was just so excited to start, but getting an increased offer is playing a huge part in my decision, 30k is a lot of money.

Hey guys sorry I have been MIA. If you didn't know already I deferred my enrollment last year to be in this class. I bring this up because of the email we all received the other day. If you have any questions and want to hear what I did and how my time off was feel free to PM me. I will also be posting this on our FB page so you can contact me there as well. All in all, it was probably one of the best financial decisions i have made, and certainly don't regret it.

Most likely, it sucks since I already have a place and I was super stoked to start, but financially I think this is my best choice. Gonna take the weekend to think about it, but I'm pretty sure I'll be accepting it.

On other news, it looks like they will only have four sections this year around as well.

We'll I don't think anyone would blame you. It's a good deal and it seems that it worked out well for Shayn.

Why do you say it'll only be 4 sections?

I'm (sort of) in town! I made it Charlotte - will be going to WS tomorrow. I need liquor right now so hard after that 11 hour drive.
