Wow, just landed to find an email with financial aid info. A little better ($$) than nyu, but not sure I can justify it over taking a full ride elsewhere. Good problem to have.

Was really hoping for more. I'm pretty disappointed considering what they offered last year to similar numbers. I guess they're spending money on the full rides.

Word of advice: negotiate your scholarship even if you are happy with it. Try it twice if you are feeling saucy.

Do you know if they are receptive to non peer school scholarships at all(like T20, even though that's not a thing)

Anyone have good resources for negotiating. The offer was decent but I doubt I'll attend if it isn't increased.

I would say that's probably the limit of what they would consider competitive. If it's a full ride, maybe more likely. Top 14 scholarships are better and of course CN shollys are the best. But they can only say no so you might as well try.wsparker wrote:Mal Reynolds wrote:Word of advice: negotiate your scholarship even if you are happy with it. Try it twice if you are feeling saucy.

You'll definitely get an offer when they get to people in your wave.

Re: Chicago Law Class of 2017
Hey Everyone,
Long time lurker here. Congrats on admission and the scholarships!
I, like many of you, was a little disappointed by the $ amount today based off what people on LSN got last year. I was wondering how long we should wait before trying to negotiate? Also, do we have any idea if CCN is willing to negotiate with schools that are ranked slightly lower? I got under 50k to UChi (and even less to NYU), but I have essentially a full tuition scholarship at one of MVP (within a couple-few grand a year). UChi is where I really want to go but I can't justify it financially right now.

My question is similar. Would Chicago be more willing to negotiate with $$$ schollys if they came from Michigan/NU/etc. if the goal is to go to school in midwest?FinalFour wrote:Hey Everyone,

Me too! With below 25th percentile GPA I was happy just to be admitted! If they want to throw in some money, fine by me...orangec90 wrote:+1. I'm shocked I got anything at all, even if small! Do you need to fill out the NeedAccess form to get your financial aid/grant offer? Or is it purely based on merit?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
