I actually just got mine in the mail and I would love to go to Duke, does anyone know how Duke deals with negotiating? Is now the time to start? I have a much higher offer from one of the MVP which I would love for them to match.

Yeah, LSN. But just be aware that scholarships are more variable and unpredictable than acceptances and that those numbers are averages, not medians.

My scholarship was sent on 3/3 after they received it on 2/15. Pleasantly surprised. I am not sure what the scale is but I think this would be considered "$$." Also, in terms of timing, not sure that this matters, but I submitted my application very early (9/3/13) on the Priority Track and was accepted for admissions on 9/13/13.

Also, in terms of timing, not sure that this matters, but I submitted my application very early (9/3/13) on the Priority Track and was accepted for admissions on 9/13/13.

This seems to demonstrate that financial aid offers are being sent out in order of when the initial application is received, and not by when the scholarship application was received. I submitted my Priority Track application much later than you - 01/08/14 - yet I submitted my scholarship application much earlier than you - it was received 01/30 - and I have heard nothing about scholarships yet. Granted, this might also demonstrate that there is really some other variable like you having a better application in general than me, and therefore being more deserving of financial aid, yet this would be inconsistent with that was told to us in the email…

Congrats to the Mordecai's! For those of you who got offers, would you mind either posting here what your stats/amounts are, or if you're not comfortable, PMing me? I just got my Need Access done tonight (had to wait on parents) and Duke is my top choice of the schools I'm into. I'm super anxious about this process because it will go a long way in determining if I can stomach the debt.
