What kinds of places did everyone go to? We had a 15$ dollar cap and the food prices were way too close to 15$ to allow for booze, even just the sammiches.

Went to 9 Tastes (Thai), got the lunch special for $9. I didn't see any booze there, nor did I know it was an option.

Has anyone actually bought Black's Law Dictionary? I can't figure out if that's something I can just use in the library or if I really need to own it.

At least one version is online for free: http://thelawdictionary.org/

I received a copy as a gift, but as wrtc mentioned I'm fairly sure its all online in some form or another.

What? Do not buy Black's Law Dictionary. That's ridiculous.

I've never used it or seen one in law school before.

Apologies if this is a silly question, but is the general assumption that we always bring our casebooks to class, just bring notes/briefs/outlines from the previous readings, or does it vary by professor?

Dat shit is heavy

Don't think I got one, at least yet... off campus, but living too close to the law school, perhaps.

Sadly you'll want your books for most every class. Professors like to refer to pages or sometimes have you read a section. Even if not, when you inevitably get cold called and don't know the answer it's nice to have something to flip through so you're not just sitting there with a dumb look on your face.

That said, if you realize you don't ever need it, don't bring it.

I live decently close and got one, it was one of the smaller WCC ones though.

Yeah, but idk why I didn't get the email. Maybe I signed up too late.

I live close enough that I'm not sure how much I'd use it, but I emailed the dude listed on the website to see. If there isn't one available I know of at least one person who somehow got two lockers and one person who doesn't really need it, so if a locker is necessary I think I can figure out something.

I am looking to sublet a room in a two-bedroom apartment right across the street from campus. If you are still looking for housing, message me for details.

I wonder if we'll get extra credit for helping him out with his Mac technological questions.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
