What kinds of places did everyone go to? We had a 15$ dollar cap and the food prices were way too close to 15$ to allow for booze, even just the sammiches.

Went to 9 Tastes (Thai), got the lunch special for $9. I didn't see any booze there, nor did I know it was an option.

Has anyone actually bought Black's Law Dictionary? I can't figure out if that's something I can just use in the library or if I really need to own it.

What? Do not buy Black's Law Dictionary. That's ridiculous.
I've never used it or seen one in law school before.

Re: Harvard Class of 2017
Apologies if this is a silly question, but is the general assumption that we always bring our casebooks to class, just bring notes/briefs/outlines from the previous readings, or does it vary by professor?

Don't think I got one, at least yet... off campus, but living too close to the law school, perhaps.HorseThief wrote:Lockers brah. It's all about the lockers.

Re: Harvard Class of 2017
Sadly you'll want your books for most every class. Professors like to refer to pages or sometimes have you read a section. Even if not, when you inevitably get cold called and don't know the answer it's nice to have something to flip through so you're not just sitting there with a dumb look on your face.wtrc wrote:Apologies if this is a silly question, but is the general assumption that we always bring our casebooks to class, just bring notes/briefs/outlines from the previous readings, or does it vary by professor?

That said, if you realize you don't ever need it, don't bring it.

Yeah, but idk why I didn't get the email. Maybe I signed up too late.HorseThief wrote:Did you sign up for one?wtrc wrote:Don't think I got one, at least yet... off campus, but living too close to the law school, perhaps.HorseThief wrote:Lockers brah. It's all about the lockers.
I live close enough that I'm not sure how much I'd use it, but I emailed the dude listed on the website to see. If there isn't one available I know of at least one person who somehow got two lockers and one person who doesn't really need it, so if a locker is necessary I think I can figure out something.

I am looking to sublet a room in a two-bedroom apartment right across the street from campus. If you are still looking for housing, message me for details.

I wonder if we'll get extra credit for helping him out with his Mac technological questions.jasper09 wrote:...are you in Section 3?Optimist Prime wrote:Came across this search result while trying to learn how to use my new mac. This is either a crazy coincidence or Google knows too much.
