NYU Class of 2017 - Basically graduated Forum

Just curious, but does anyone know what usually happens to the bottom of the class for NYU? Obviously I'm not shooting for the bottom of the class but when everyone is pretty much on the same level academically I'm not naive enough to think it isn't possible. Also is there a significant amount of people shooting for big law that strike out and what seems to be their options after that? Obviously I should have asked these questions a bit earlier but I'm going regardless.

From what I've seen in other threads a lot of people at the bottom of the class at least find SOMETHING since a lot of people self select into public interest and to a much lesser extent academics. Also keeping in mind that not everyone stays in New York so people would be going to other cities like New York, LA, Chicago, possibly some secondary markets they have ties to, etc. Of course employment isn't guaranteed and things on your resume can make a difference but I don't think it's necessarily a total death wish to be at the bottom.

Many years ago, while playing a street pick-up game, I met a guy that told me that he did his first year at NYU Law, but that it was very challenging for him. He transferred to Fordham Law and said that he was having a much easier time.

I felt kind of bad for him. Thinking back on it, I hope he wasn't going into too much debt.

Has anyone sent in their final enrollment confirmation? Did you get an email confirming you sent it or just the message on the screen saying "Thanks for your submission"?

Nothing but the confirmation screen. It hasn't been reflected on the status checker, either. Submitted almost immediately after the Docket email.

1. It's the same status tracker you used when you first submitted your application/followed before your decision, etc.

3. I'm sure you'll be fine! My shot records weren't signed by my doctor nor was it the form NYU sent us and NYU was fine with it.

4. I think everyone has been seeing these random fees but they change over time. I think the consensus was that it was just a placeholder for something

2) I asked for a waiver and it was approved within 24 hours. All I did was enter my parents insurance info. It was pretty easy.

3) You don't actually have to go to the doctor or fill out the forms. I just faxed them a copy of my vaccine history with my name and my NYUid. They confirmed that I was in compliance with the law 2 days later. I knew that it was going to be hard to make it to the doctor, so I'm glad they accepted the fax.

I received an email directly from health services saying that they received my immunization information, so you just wait for the confirmation and you're good! I also didn't send the official NYU form and it was fine.
