more logins would be nice, but i'd settle for just a email telling us how to do stuff instead of entertaining a gunner easter egg hunt

Anyone (/everyone) else starting to get nervous for the beginning of class? Orientation starts in just four days, aaah!
.. I could use a fried tequila shot or five right about now.

Orientation starts in five days. Don't worry, you don't need to be at the four-days-til-orientation level of nervousness til tomorrow.TheMostDangerousLG wrote:Anyone (/everyone) else starting to get nervous for the beginning of class? Orientation starts in just four days, aaah!

Re: Harvard Class of 2017
Finally had a school nightmare, but it was undergrad-based. (And I've been out of school for a year..) I was vastly unprepared for an exam and was starting studying about six hours before the test, and kept getting distracted and doing other shit. It was basically like living many an actual day of my undergrad career.HorseThief wrote:Had my first 'first day of class' nightmare last night. My theory is that my subconscious is worried about the fact I still never got shit right in undergrad, which... does not bode well for law school.

Re: Harvard Class of 2017
Anybody planning to use Microsoft OneNote for doc management? I'm curious what approaches people were thinking of using at this point.
I played around with that LearnLeo website that has been floating around, and although it seems pretty useful, I think it only imports briefs into Msoft Word, not OneNote--which would require some annoying copy/pasting if that's the case.
And all 2/3Ls seem to say that they exclusively book briefed after the first month due to time suck...
Too many systems! Almost as many as there are WebPortals.

What section be you? ...I don't know why I phrased it like that.Optimist Prime wrote:I thought I'd ease off on TLS after law school admissions were over, but since it seems that figuring out what the assignments are is going to be a Sisyphean labor it looks like I'll be joining in for the duration.

Re: Harvard Class of 2017
I love my OneNote and was planning on using that. I made a notebook for each class but I don't really know how my organization is gonna work. I was debating handwriting my notes and then adding them in later though. I wish I had some info about whether my profs even allow computers but alassjgonzalez3 wrote:Anybody planning to use Microsoft OneNote for doc management? Of the 2 syllabi for section 3 which are up, one prof says no electronics. It'll be interesting to have to take notes by hand (then type the up after), given that my handwriting is atrocious and I haven't extensively taken notes by hand since like 3rd grade.

Like many classes at the Law School, this class will be lap-top and internet-free. This means that you cannot use your laptops, cell phones, or other electronic devices during class at any time."

I'm kinda looking forward to hand-written notes. Even though I write at a glacial pace, I think I'll learn more of the info.
Also, I'm thinking about using this program for my notes. I'm not sure if it can handle uploads of cases, but it's like making a wikipedia of your notes. I used it for one class in undergrad and it was a godsend for the exam.

Unrelated, are any of you using a program to create a budget? I looked through that igrad site SFS sent out, but I'd almost prefer to just use an excel sheet.

Woh, the possibility of having to take handwritten notes had not occurred to me.

I have a mac and I downloaded the HomeBudget app years ago and love it! I tried Mint before and didn't like it as much, I think because it wouldn't sync to my bank account right.HorseThief wrote:Unrelated, are any of you using a program to create a budget?
