No word here. I'm assuming they have to send it to us with enough time to get everything in before the tuition deadline, right?
They've been emailing us every two weeks, so maybe they'll include the instructions in the next round.

True. It also makes sense that they tell us after our housing assignments since how much you pay depends on that as well.

Hey everyone,
I got my loans ~ 2 days after orientation had started. You also get your tuition deposit back ~ 2 weeks after that.
Moving into the dorms is very easy just show your id to the doorman who will give you your keys.
Let me know if you have any other questions!

Thanks for posting! Question -- do you know anything about the locker situation for commuters? How to get them/how big they are?

We get the deposit back? I thought they just counted it towards our tuition.

I think the application doesn't open until July 1.

Move in day being the same as orientation makes me nervous. I'm worried I won't get early move in.

Do they normally deny people? You have to pay per night you move in early so I feel like they'd be willing to let people move in if they'd be willing to fork over the $$$.
And I hate they're the same day too. I want time to
get drunk relax before being thrusted into everything.

Are you from out of town? I feel like they'd be more willing to let people travelling far move in early because of scheduling, etc. But I'm sure we'll all be fine so long as we get our apps in early.
I at least want a couple days to move in, explore the city, and not be too overwhelmed coming from Chicago. It's a big city but nothing like New York

I think they *can* deny an early-arrival request, but I think the language is mostly just to save face in the unlikely event they need to.

Hey everyone,
I'll be at NYU next year. I'm from the midwest so not too experienced with NYC housing etc. Looking to pay anywhere under 1500 or so, the cheaper the better as long as living conditions aren't terrible. I'm okay being a little bit away from the school but don't want to be really far. If anyone is looking for a roommate at their place or wants to join forces to find a place, let me know.

If you have been sending in your transcripts and college questionnaires, it seems like NYU are behind in acknowledging receipt on the status checker. I sent the questionnaire to my undergrad several weeks ago and I know they processed it quickly but it only just showed up as received.
FYI if anyone else is similarly concerned.

When are those due? I got off the WL so I haven't received anything from the school yet other than confirmation of my deposit and housing app

Checking in. Looks like I have an apartment in midtown! More space and less cost than the dorms with only a 20min commute, so I am stoked

Yeah it's definitely unbeatable if you're looking to stay in the Village (which I am so envious of).
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
