Remember when the Dean, at ASW, said he was concerned about the cost of legal education, and that NYU was concerned with keeping debt low for it's students?
Yeah, I'm seeing that concern already.

On a cheerier note, for anyone else who is hoping to move into the dorms early, I just found rates here: http://www.law.nyu.edu/housing/ratesand ... lyarrival/

Same. That'll give me time to unpack and maybe make a Costco run in the suburbs.fkt18 wrote:Depends on flight prices... I'm hoping for at least two days earlier though!tenniscourt wrote:How early, if anyone is thinking of it, are people thinking of moving in?

Two buck chuck! Wouldn't be a bad idea to add that to the rotation given this student budget...tenniscourt wrote:Same here. That or Trader Joe'salinor wrote:Same. Judging from the impending stress we'll all be having, I'll probably be substituting alcohol for meals....Max324 wrote: Two buck chuck! Wouldn't be a bad idea to add that to the rotation given this student budget...

I thought Trader Joe's was quite nice. The key is to bring a backpack so you can carry your groceries back easily, though they do double bag for you as well. Also, go with a friend so you can stand in line and shop at the same time. It'll be clear once you get inside the store what I mean.tenniscourt wrote:Same here. That or Trader Joe'salinor wrote:Same. Hey, peeps,
Does anyone know the mailing address to which we should send our undergrad transcripts? Is it the same address as the one listed at the bottom of the College Questionnaire/Dean's Certification thing?

I'm spoiled right now... I live right across from a Trader Joe's (so I can easily walk home with a bag or two of groceries), and the line is never bad.eerie_erie wrote:I thought Trader Joe's was quite nice. Also, are reusable bags not a thing for Manhattan? I usually bring a couple of sturdy bags with me when I go grocery shopping. Then again, I'm probably just a hippie in denial.

It should go to this address: 139 MacDougal Street Suite C-20, New York, NY 10012. I haven't looked at the Certification form yet, so I'm not sure if the addresses are the same or not.Arboreal wrote:Hey, peeps,

The College Questionaire has the address on the bottom of it. Or they can fax it. I called the office and they said all the transcripts/questionnaires probably won't show up on the tracker until about a month when they start actually looking at themArboreal wrote:Thanks for the response, and that is the same address as the one listed on the Certification form.alinor wrote:It should go to this address: 139 MacDougal Street Suite C-20, New York, NY 10012. I was wondering this too. Some cities on the east coast, like DC, charge you for not bringing your own bags & like silently judge when you don't bring your own

Checking in! Sorry if this has been asked before, but what's the housing availability like for people admitted off the WL?

Congrats! I have no idea about housing for people on the waitlist. We haven't received our housing assignments yet, so I'd think that it's still possible. The email address for Residence Services is law.reslife@nyu.edu. They can probably provide more info for you.vivala wrote:Checking in! Anyone started the loan process yet? Master promissory note, all that jazz? I know we haven't gotten access to Albert yet, and according to NYU's fin aid website, that's the first step in the process. I guess I'm mostly paranoid, and don't want to be late in requesting my loans.

I haven't received anything that is super relevant from NYU. I would love to get started on the health requirements. Has anyone received the health packet?
