Checking in. Still waiting to hear from a couple places but WUSTL is looking like a very strong contender.
I'm coming to the ASW in March if anyone else is

I know it's early, but has anyone tried to negotiate their scholarship yet? It seems like they're almost wanting us to negotiate upwards by the amounts they sent out thus far.
Any current students have any info or tips for negotiating that worked/didn't work when you were applying?

Does anyone know how to log on to the Admit Student page? I have not received MyLaw credentials yet.

This seems like a better place to try and coordinate rides/rooms/etc. for the March ASW.

Too early to start scholly negotiations ??

I think so. I'd wait until about 4-6 weeks before the April 15 deposit deadline, at the earliest.jk148706 wrote:Too early to start scholly negotiations ??
They'll be more willing to redistribute funds once they've had some withdrawals and confirmed enrollments.
I'd ask some of the current students or browse last year's threads for a more credible source though too.

No way I'm waiting that long. Not going to deposit with the current scholly offer.Fiero85 wrote:I think so. I'd wait until about 4-6 weeks before the April 15 deposit deadline, at the earliest.jk148706 wrote:Too early to start scholly negotiations ??

Re: Wash U Class of 2017
That's your prerogative, man. My thought was just that they are still sending out new schollies in these weeks, and would have a better idea of who has already accepted the offers or withdrawn if you give it a few weeks. Not everyone negotiates, so some money should free up from withdrawals. I think 4-6 weeks is plenty of time to negotiate via email, even with multiple schools involved. But if you already have all your offers from your schools to use for negotiation, send the info whenever you like.jk148706 wrote:No way I'm waiting that long. Re: Wash U Class of 2017
To jk and others, here's a thread on this topic of when to negotiate:
http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 5&t=224326
A relevant quote from the thread:
"Mike Spivey (Former WUSTL and Vandy Adcomm) just tweeted to wait until deposit deadlines near. Money will open up for you when this happens.
Be patient (I know it's hard; you've got a lot of good admission offers!)
The patience will pay off!"
Good luck everyone. I hope you all get enough $$$ to make WUSTL a good fit for you!
