Is anyone looking at private student loans for the supplemental loan amount instead of taking out grad plus loans? Is there a disadvantage to taking out private loans if you can get a lower interest rate (I am pretty sure they are still covered by LIPP)?

as someone working in higher ed, although i find the log-ins to be a super huge pain in the ass, from a security and FERPA compliant standpoint they are right on the money.

i have a dumb question too!! anyone know how we find out who our assigned finaid counselor is? i feel like i got an e-mail about it, but definitely deleted it.

I had a toned down version of this today when they emailed me saying saying I need a college certification from my first UG institution. Apparently they granted me an associate's degree I had no idea about Time to scramble.

I am moving in this weekend! HUH Housing, here I come.

Could not be more excited.

But I think it will feel strange this summer, I'm like the guy who shows up to the party at 7 o clock, when it doesn't start until 11, so I'm just shuffling around awkwardly, drinking the free coffee and being locked out of the library.

Just as a heads up to anyone who hasn't completed all the health forms: I called and spoke to someone at the Law School Health Services office (617) 495-4414 who said the Health Care Provider's Report isn't mandatory. So none of the forms necessarily require a visit to a physician. Additionally, the immunization form they provide is just a guide; any legitimate records will suffice. You might want to call and double check, but if you were planning to see a PCP just for this maybe you don't have to now.

Lucky you guys..unfortunately this is not true for international students. The forms are mandatory and we have to provided either the immunization records or reports for positive titer tests. Welp.

You are moving in already? What are you going to do for 2 months in Cambridge?

I'll do some LSAT tutoring and work part time remotely for my old job. We're moving early so my SO can start her job on July 1.

But I'm just hoping to get the chance to relax, read some books that have been on my list for far too long, and catch up on some personal projects before the onslaught of 1L.

Anyone doing anything fun this summer? I remember there were some rumblings ITT about a tour of SE Asia...
