I had sincerely forgotten about Harvard (read: repressed any hope) until the moment I got that phone call. Crazy how fast life can change.

Re: Harvard Class of 2017
I forgot what the deposit form said but did it say we -have to- update them on the schools we listed as outstanding?
I listed a few schools as outstanding. A month after submitting my deposit, I got one acceptance from an outstanding school and 2 WLs. I withdrew from one WL, stayed on WL, and withdrew from an acceptance. Should I have told HLS about all the activity, and do I have to tell them about my being on a WL?

Re: Harvard Class of 2017
Would anyone be willing to share via PM their financial aid offer? I just got admitted off the wait list today (extremely excited!), but the difference in cost between the offer I got at the school at which I'm currently deposited and the award I'm expecting from HLS is a bit daunting. My family is definitely not rich, but is it safe to say that I shouldn't expect more than 45k total? I'm a little lost on the whole HLS financial aid process because I honestly was not expecting to get off the wait list! And 24-48 hrs is not a lot of time to make such a huge decision. I would appreciate any help/PMs regarding awards from people from lower-income backgrounds. Thank you!!!

Re: Harvard Class of 2017
The max you could get is around 35k a year. I posted in the waitlist thread about the details; you should be able to estimate your aid pretty well based on that info. If you have specific questions about calculations then feel free to ask here or PM me.

Welcome to all who just got off the WL!
Question for current students - what's the bathroom situation like in Hastings Hall? Is the one bathroom per entry a pain or is it actually tolerable to share one among a few suites?
And on the flipside, for those of you who have lived in North Hall found it worth the extra price? Or would you advise against it if you're living off of the student budget?
THANKS!

You might get some bites here but you'll be better off asking in the "Harvard Student's Answering Q's" thread.ttime97 wrote:Welcome to all who just got off the WL!

Just a heads up that everyone in this thread is a 0L (as far as I know.. haven't noticed any current students lurking). So really the only people who can give you a legit answer are in the Harvard Students Answering... thread.ttime97 wrote:Thanks for the tip! Hiya checking in after JS2 yesterday. I've lived in Cambridge the last 11 years, so happy to answer any life Q's that I can. Good to be with you all.
Wondering if any folks have withdrawn from Columbia post seat deposit. What's the protocol there?

I have similar questions as to the protocol for NYU... but I just shot off an email to the admissions office requesting that my admission be withdrawn. Doesn't seem to be more complicated than that, but I could be wrong.heirloom wrote:Hiya checking in after JS2 yesterday. I did the same thing with NYU late last night, and I got their response email this afternoon. About 20 mins later they began deleting me from their records - listservs, email, NYU Home access, all gone. Re: Harvard Class of 2017
Pretty much. Unless you want to drop ~$2k for a studio/1BR, the HUH apartments are picked over. You can see what's still available here: https://harvardlive.secureportaln.net/D ... entory.pdf. Note that you won't be able to grab any of these until after selection by window finishes, probably in early June.emu42 wrote:are all the good HUH apartments gone? where have you guys been looking otherwise? thanks!
I haven't been able to access the HAHLS site, so I don't know what dorms are still available.

Re: Harvard Class of 2017
Hey everybody. Apologies for ducking in here. For anybody who is definitely attending Harvard as a member of the class of 2017: I work for a startup that operates online case briefing and networking tools for law students. We're currently looking for a campus rep for the upcoming school year. The pay is good and the work is minimal. If you think you'd be interested in chatting with me about this, or talking with one of our current reps, shoot me a PM.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
