Congrats to the Mordecai's! Do ya'll know if Duke gives non-named full tuition scholarships in addition to these? Like "dean's scholarships" or something?

What is Duke Law's actual FAFSA code? The Duke Law website lists 002920 which is actually the University's FAFSA code, but the FAFSA website has Duke Univ - School of Law listed as E00167. Anyone know for sure which is the correct one? TIA

Congrats to the Mordecai people!

So there is one more status change when our scholarship stuff is sent out for the rest of us?

Checking in. Hoping my late admit doesn't preclude me from at least getting a Duke sweatshirt and/or tote bag from the scholarship committee.

Honestly not sure, but I sent mine to the E00167 one and it was received.

Hmm...ok. Did you get an email of confirmation of them receiving it? Or was it something else?

I just went with what was listed on the FAFSA for Duke Law, and it doesn't seem to have caused any problems with Duke's receipt of the information.

Quick question. I got my admit email on Saturday, and it says that a follow-up email regarding scholarships will be coming from FinAid Office. Since I want to get moving on that ASAP, but they haven't sent the email yet, can I just follow the instructions that are in the Welcome Students website? So it's basically the Duke form and Need Access?

I got my acceptance on Saturday as well. I went ahead and just followed the instructions on the Admitted Students Page.

Yeah, that email is very generic and I can't imagine it being required to start the process.

Given the wording on the site and in the financial aid email, they seem to be very adamant about everyone applying on the basis of merit and need. But everything I've ever read says need-based aid is almost non-existent outside of HYS. Do you think they try and use need-access to adjust down some of their merit offers based on parental info?

ETA: With an EFC (when including parent info) of >$30k, I felt I should just apply for merit-based. Do you guys think this was the correct route to go?

If I were you I would go merit-only.

That's what I figured, but I thought it was weird how much harder they seem to stress the Need Access relative to other schools.

Yep just got it. Glad to see some movement. So far I only have one T14 scholarship decision, so I'm anxious to get a few more and see where I stand.

Also got it, can't wait for the information. Duke has been very steadily climbing my list, so I'm hoping for a good offer.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
