Hopefully I'll be able to join this crew after getting off the waitlist.
If not, congrats to everyone headed to GULC. The campus being literally five minutes away from the Supreme Court....... that's like a dream-come-true

I'm sure this has been answered -- but what's the yellow form and where will it be posted?King Cayuga wrote:How odd that the yellow form isn't available yet and it's theoretically due in 12 days. I already filled out FAFSA and NA but this is making me nervous.

Can someone post a link to the FB admitted students group, if it indeed exists?
Many thanks.

Re: Georgetown Class of 2017
Someone above posted about the yellow form, and someone else linked to it, but the site they linked to doesn't actually have the yellow form. Does this mean its not ready/available yet? Has anyone here actually filled it out yet?
I agree that it is odd it is due by March 15 and yet I can't find it anywhere...

I was actually thinking it might be worth e-mailing/calling them to find out.

Some people have told me they are expecting awards soon. Can we expect awards without having filled out the yellow form? The website makes it sound like that is required for awards. Does anyone know?

Yeah--there's sort of a disconnect here.Sojourner2 wrote:Some people have told me they are expecting awards soon. Can we expect awards without having filled out the yellow form? The website makes it sound like that is required for awards. Does anyone know?
The e-mail that came out in the beginning of February about scholarships said:
But the yellow form also seems like a requirement. The Committee hopes to make our initial scholarship awards via e-mail around March 1st.
It's possible they're willing to make initial awards before the yellow form? Does anybody actually know what the yellow form is?

Re: Georgetown Class of 2017
I am reading through last year's thread to see what's what. It looks like the yellow form is re: loans.
I haven't seen mention yet of people getting awards, but I'm only on February 28th. Will update soon.
ETA: Yeah, on March 1 there were some aid offers, and the yellow form had only come out slightly before then (February 25thish), so it really doesn't seem that they hold all offers until the yellow form.
ETA2: FWIW, the first offer was reported a bit after 3PM on March 1, 2013.
ETA3: This post was amusing/informative: http://top-law-schools.com/forums/viewt ... 5#p6495692

So it looks like a bunch of low-ish merit offers (when compared to other T14) and merit "alternate" emails were sent out prior to yellow form submission last year. I bet we get something similar by the end of the week.

Re: Georgetown Class of 2017
Ok, sorry if I'm very behind here- I know the FAFSA and Yellow form are needed for needs-based aid (and for Grad-Plus loans). For the merit-based awards, though, is any of that additional documentation required? I was told that all applicants were automatically considered for merit awards, so an incomplete FAFSA etc. wouldn't be holding up merit aid, right?
Sorry to ask the dumb/duplicate question, but I wanted to be sure on this point.
Thanks everyone!

I think merit aid might also require receipt of the "You have been selected to apply for merit aid" email from Gtown with the optional essay, but I'm not sureZipWhenSheMoves wrote:Ok, sorry if I'm very behind here- I know the FAFSA and Yellow form are needed for needs-based aid (and for Grad-Plus loans).
