Re: Harvard Class of 2017
Does anyone know why my status checker would show "College Cert. Received (Undergrad)" when I haven't sent anything to my school yet? I'm so confused. --ImageRemoved--

I think it just means that they've confirmed that you go to whatever school(s) you put down as your undergrad. You still have to do the Dean's certification paperwork to see if you've robbed banks or hijacked trains throughout college. --ImageRemoved--

Gotcha, thanks! Hopefully they don't count hijacking space shuttles.

Hmm, idk then. That was the only thing I could think of.quijotesca1011 wrote:I already said I'm attending, do I still have to do proof of admission?HorseThief wrote:Have you submitted your proof of admission?quijotesca1011 wrote:Quick question for those who have applied to HLS housing …
On the last page, it says that, "If you have gone to the Room Selection Process page and selected "Save and Continue" then your housing application is complete at this time."
But underneath, my status still says, 'incomplete'… did anyone's status change to complete, or will that remain incomplete until we've gone through the lottery/picked a room/etc.
Thanks!
I got the email that my app went through so I think I'm probably good.

I'm assuming that you don't have to provide that stuff until after you secure an apartment.quijotesca1011 wrote:I already said I'm attending, do I still have to do proof of admission?HorseThief wrote:Have you submitted your proof of admission?quijotesca1011 wrote:Quick question for those who have applied to HLS housing …

Re: Harvard Class of 2017
I'm a few years out of undergrad (though I went straight through) and would not want to live in the dorms. They're probably exactly what you think they are. That being said, I do imagine it is very convenient just to sign up and be done with it and not have to search for a place.love4life29 wrote:Does anyone who is a few years of undergrad have an opinion on living in the dorms??

Re: Harvard Class of 2017
Trying to find an apartment has been interesting so far. I'm limited since I'll be married by the time classes begin. I want a place I can sublet in the summers, but I'm not sure that should be a requirement for me; none of the options I've considered so far allow subletting

Slightly over 3 years out of undergrad, and I'm fine with the prospect of living in dorms. But then again, I've been living in barracks pretty much the entire time since college so...

Re: Harvard Class of 2017
I would vote no unless I get a non-dorm dorm (North Hall, etc.). I did dorms my first two years of college (5-6 years ago) and would have trouble going back to the twin bed and shared bathroom thing (even though, it is shared with law students and not undergrads)...love4life29 wrote:Does anyone who is a few years of undergrad have an opinion on living in the dorms??

Re: Harvard Class of 2017
I'll be 3 years out when I start so I wasn't really considering living in the dorms, but I'm in the 2nd group for the housing lotto so I think I'll have a good shot at tying down North.

Just my luck: apply for the housing lottery the day the application opens, definitely planning on living on campus, have been keeping my fingers crossed for a good lottery window all of April.... not given a window.

I was surprised that the email said that only 250 students were selected for the lottery, seems quite low.

You're c/o 2017? You'll be able to get in the dorms.TheMostDangerousLG wrote:Just my luck: apply for the housing lottery the day the application opens, definitely planning on living on campus, have been keeping my fingers crossed for a good lottery window all of April.... not given a window.
