Maybe Columbia's whole "let's hold all of these qualified and interested applicants" strategy worked.

You're going to miss out on one year of Dallas big law salary because no matter where you end up, you're going to be top 10% and make law review.bound wrote:SOMEONE affirm that I am making the right decision by sitting out. TYIA
If you're getting cold feet, no shame in taking another year. I took 3 years off. Think of it as one more year to live freely and enjoy doing whatever you want in your twenties.
Of course, if you do enter law school eventually and find it extremely easy, then my first statement will turn out to be true.

Hahah I read that first sentence and I was like this kid is trying to do the opposite of what I'm asking!! That is comforting that you took three years off though... I'm sitting with one year off, and now potentially 2 years, and I'm feeling like I'm going to be the old mom of the class

Take the time off if it makes sense for you. And you'll be fine. I took 7 years off after UG so I will always be the oldbound wrote:ManoftheHour wrote:You're going to miss out on one year of Dallas big law salary because no matter where you end up, you're going to be top 10% and make law review.bound wrote:SOMEONE affirm that I am making the right decision by sitting out. Haha I didn't mean to offend! I think two years could definitely make a difference as opposed to one year. I've very much enjoyed my time off and I'd be lying if I said that one more year wasn't tempting. Plus I considerably underperformed my numbers, which is annoying as fuck
