For merit only aid you do not need to complete either the FAFSA or need access. You should request merit only via email to the financial aid office, and they will unlock the form for merit only aid, which appears in your online portal.

If you do choose to attend, you will have to complete FAFSA at some point, because it determines federal loan eligibility. But it is not required until after you choose to attend (if doing merit only).

It depends. I don't want to confuse anybody so make sure you look at your documents -- especially on any of your financial offerings.

Mine is April 21.

Yea, it's April 21st for those with scholarships, I believe. I am trying to get mine pushed, but at this point it's just pushing the withdrawal date in the vain belief that maybe I can get it raised a little bit if Penn comes through hard.

Yeah. I think I only have need based scholarship, because mine is still May 2nd.

That's weird. I feel like I didn't merit anything. I figured mine was entirely need.

I don't think this is right-mine is May 2, and my scholarship definitely wasn't primarily (if at all) need-based. I think it depends on when you received the scholarship (I got mine early April).

+1 I'm pretty sure it just depends on when you received the scholarship. Everyone that received an initial offer recently should have May 2.
