Appealed 50k aid with 105 from Michigan. Denied. But luckily, I am allowed to borrow to meet the expected student contribution!

Got denied recently too and thought the same thing. Between that and the suggestion that differences in debt aren't important, NYU has provided the lulz.

Hi everyone! I've officially decided to withdraw from NYU to attend another school. Since I'm leaving NYC, this also means that I'll be moving out of an apartment that is literally one half block from NYU Law. It is on Thompson and Bleecker, a one bedroom on the third floor of a walk up building. If anyone is interested in possibly taking over my lease feel free to PM me. I'll be moving out June 1st so timing isn't perfect for the start of your classes but thought I'd post any way in case someone is interested!

There's no rational argument to pay significantly more for it, though. Ivy League envy maybe.

I think it depends on your career goals. NYU seems to genuinely have better connections to public interest. I've also heard a lot of positive things about their career services office. I also don't want to live in Morningside Heights...

ETA: Really though, between these two, you should probably just go where you get more money. If it's the same, go with your gut.

Took 60 days for me. I was happy with the offer, though, so it was worth the wait. Others have gotten offers in a week ITT.
