I feel like they are perhaps trying to cover their lack of financial aid to many with this kind of stuff. Trying to sell you through the receptions (and hence "connections"), emails, and everything. If that is the case, it's kind of lame, since none of this stuff will matter until your grades come through.

Yeah, to put it in perspective, NYU gave me $0. I got ~$15k/year at Yale.

Anyone hear back from an appeal? I sent one through the portal but see no confirmation from email, the message box, or the appeals tab.

I don't think this ever got answered but does someone have insight as to if the bolded is the norm. I appealed yesterday. I didn't email anyone because my appeals tab showed up when I went to "My Follow-Ups" and then clicked on "NYU School of Law Fin. Aid Notification." So I just submitted it from the tab after that yesterday after receiving my Columbia offer.

Now the tab doesn't appear anymore and I have no mention on the faaps site or by email of a confirmation. Is this the norm when using the appeals tab?

I resubmitted through the portal. I called and they said they didn get it, and told me to email the text and the attachments.

For those who got $0, did you receive the financial aid email/website/whatever saying you would be receiving no money from NYU or you just did not hear anything about money?
I still haven't heard anything about scholarship/financial aid from NYU and I was admitted early Jan. My financial aid status says "application under review". Does this mean I'm getting nothing from NYU?

There is an NYU student group that creates it every year, by what has been said by previous posters it should be up and running in the near future. For those attending this weeks ASW, did everybody get the same case for mock class? I personally received Staples vs U.S. Also, any thoughts/opinions on the Cravath event? Couldn't miss out on 4 days of work this week so unfortunately had to skip it.

Anyone else here attend the event at Cravath last night? I actually had a pretty good time. Good conversations all around, and I genuinely liked just about everybody I met. I gotta say I really love the career services woman, Irene. She is hilarious, super down-to-earth, and from speaking with alumni I also gather that she busts her ass in order to help every student get the job they want.
