Sorry to hear about the goose eggs. Pretty disheartening, considering my numbers compared to some of yours. Did everyone get their email around the same time as BOM?

I'm wondering if I screwed myself by applying for RTK, as maybe they were more generous in the beginning, like when I submitted my application in early January.

Anyway, just submitted what I think is a passionate and compelling appeal. Hopefully we'll all hear back one way or another soon.

For anyone that has submitted an appeal, does your appeal tab disappear after? Also, when I submitted it, it came up with a short confirmation page that was like "You submitted your appeal: You added these supporting documents:" or something like that- but there was nothing following the semi-colon (AKA, my entire appeal text). Anyone else get this or should I be concerned?

You wouldn't be taking away money from people here, but away from NYU. In which case you shouldn't feel bad at all. TAKE THEIR MONEY.

My appeal tab didn't disappear. It simply says: "Your appeal is currently being reviewed. You will be notified as soon as a decision has been reached." Below it are the dates of the appeal, and below that the docs I submitted.

As far as appeals go, do people suggest actually listing exact scholarship amounts received at other schools? and if so, should I attach the files to these listed scholarships?

Yes, I think it's credited to attach the offers. I think that's why they give you the option to attach files at all.

Try opening the "NYU School of Law Financial Aid Notification" message in the "My Follow Ups" tab. I did not have the appeals tab available until I opened that message, and it popped up on the top bar after that.

You will need to attach documentation, yes.

Went to NYU for undergrad so this is no surprise to me at all. I remember there was a reason I told myself not to go back to NYU, but jk I might do it anyway.

I got $50k ($60k if I do PI during 2L summer). This is very similar to what Stanford and Berkeley gave me in the form of need-based aid, so I'm kind of thinking this $$ from NYU is also need-based disguised as a "dean's scholarship." Which might also explain why a lot of you with good numbers didn't get anything?

ETA: I'm also an RTK reject (did not interview).

Went to NYU for undergrad so this is no surprise to me at all. I remember there was a reason I told myself not to go back to NYU, but jk I might do it anyway.

I don't know if I'll end up there (not without them significantly upping their award), but I have hated the school for a while. It has financed an immense expansion almost entirely on the back of its student body by saddling them with immense debt.
