Ya'll have any book recommendations? Not looking to "prep" really, just wondering about anything that's interesting. Maybe a history of HLS?

Song of Ice and Fire is pretty good, and I hear it's a lot like 1L.

Speaking of GOT, I hear that HLS students have free access to HBO-GO. So I guess I'm going to HLS!

But, yeah, seems like it really is HLS for me!

A friend who is a 2L just posted this to FB. And it apparently works even if your off-campus.

Guess my 1L year is already in some serious trouble...

2. Click "Sign Up"
3. When it asks who your provider is, click the "More" bar
4. Scroll all the way down to the bottom of the list and click "Harvard University (Beta)"
5. It will validate your status as a student by having you login to the Harvard PIN system.

Anybody else get an email just now saying they can select rooms after noon today? I'm sure it's a mistake, I've read several times incoming students can't select until the windows open May 1. Just wondering if they made the mistake with everyone

It wasn't exactly a mistake, just a lack of sorting their listservs properly. If you read the subject line, you'll see that the entire email only applies to returning students. For whatever reason, they included us admitted students in the mass-mailing as well. I had a brief heart attack this morning too after receiving that

I guess that's to be expected. It works for current HLS and HKS students. You'll have that to look forward to if you matriculate.

Slowly withdrawing from other schools is simultaneously exhilarating and terrifying. Just withdrew from UVA and only have 4 left to choose from, including H. Such a weird feeling.

It took a week for me to be added to the fb group. I think they do it in waves during the work week.

I emailed the SFS about a pending deadline and they were very responsive and emailed me back in 20 mins / called me.

Alright, I've read this thread on and off, and I'm sure a similar question is not too far behind, but I'm a special snowflake and want to ask again.
I'm coming in with a wifey and two kiddos, probably three before too long (They keep showing up on the doorstep). I've got about 3k a month to spend on housing and utilities. Other than HUH, which we are certainly considering, what are some good options? I hate traffic and we would love some yard if possible. I realize those two things work against each other, so I know there's some compromise required somewhere. We probably need at least three bedrooms.

Anybody else been doing similar searches? Have any luck? Parent high-five?
