I keep seeing the posts on the Facebook page. Making me sad I didn't go to house-hunt
Also, we're going to be law students in like 2 months. Holy smokes it's coming up fast.

I'm perpetually paranoid because I always think there's something I should be doing to prepare. On the other hand, I got excited looking through a contracts book so I guess that's good lolcricketlove00 wrote:I know ;( I wish I could've gone.AT9 wrote:I keep seeing the posts on the Facebook page. Yeah... just read it. I'm kinda sad about it. I heard he was really awesome. I hope they pick someone decent. A good dean can make a huge difference.AT9 wrote:You guys see that the Dean Mortant (sp?) is resigning to move on to the deanship at George Washington??

Has anyone who turned in their health forms had a response back saying they've been accepted?

Dean Morant is an amazing person, and so is his wife. As a law student at Wake, I have had the opportunity to interact with both of them on several occasions. Everyone at Wake is extremely accessible and this is also true about any of the deans. I have been able to have professors and deans at my house for BBQs, join them for dinner at their homes, and even go out to dinner with Dean Morant and his wife.AT9 wrote:Same. I am very sad that Dean Morant is moving on, but this is not a rare thing for people at that level (average shelf life is about 5 years). Wake is quite adept at encouraging a near familial environment, and I know that the interim dean (whomever that may be) and the eventual dean they choose, will continue to perpetuate the Wake that we know and want to continually be a part of.
Yes, I sound like a damned brochure, but grab me in the hall come fall (tattooed bearded guy) and you will soon learn that I simply love this place.
To any faculty and staff who read this: See, I am keeping your names out =P
