Question!

Do we need to do anything special to be considered for merit scholarships? I know that for need-based aid we have to fill out Need Access, but I can't find anything about merit scholarships.

Not for general merit scholarships, no. But you do need to apply for certain named scholarships, such as Root and Furman. I think.

Anyone else apply for the AnBryce? The instructions say to write a 1 page essay but 500-700 words. I'm assuming this would mean to single space to fit into one page. I'm under the impression that double space makes things easier to read and how the rest of all my applications are. What did you do?

What's the consensus on updating NYU with a new LSAT score if I'm already admitted? Should I just send a brief e-mail to the admissions office informing them about the new score for merit scholarship purposes?

I probably should've told everyone this sooner, but I called admissions a while ago to ask that my packet be sent to my permanent address since I was returning home for winter break
and I was told they wouldn't be going out until mid-January.

Gotcha, thanks for the information! I figured that was the case, but at the same time am overly anxious about LS mail.

I've read on multiple occasions to just let them receive your updated LSAT (via LSAC, automatically). I honestly don't think you need to do anything, but if it gives you a piece of mind then go for it, I certainly don't think you'll be the first to send in such an email, haha.

It'll likely come within a week of your acceptance, but this may be delayed due to the holidays.

I'm in Georgia (not close to NY) and got my package today (accepted mid-Dec) as well, so I imagine people around the country will be getting them soon.
