Woahhh chill out, how on earth does commenting on someone's attractiveness justify an attack like that?

I'm sure the student at a top law school appreciates being judged on her hair color and looks at a school function.

Uhh me saying "the blonde" wasn't a judgment, it was a descriptor because I'm pretty sure writing her name out on this forum wouldn't be kosher. Regardless, it's pretty ridiculous/hilarious that anyone would get so personally offended by the fact that I found one of the panelists attractive. I would also comment on her speaking points but I'm not currently interested in corporate law, so her description of the NYU Law/Stern dynamic didn't really appeal to me.

I enjoyed the comment. Glad to know that law school will still be somewhat fun.

I think they say that you can expect to hear within 2 weeks of the time you are eliminated from consideration for a named scholarship.

Ugh I submitted everything in early Feb and was eliminated from named scholly over three weeks ago. I'm not even under final review yet.

It's supposed to be 7-10 days, per NYU. But I've been under final review for well over a month, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

FYI, the 7-10 days starts when you have heard back from all other scholarships (RTK, etc.)

love it. loved the sessions, class visits rocked. Prof Katzen is a rockstar and Prof Stevenson was brilliant during his session. Food was pretty sweet too

Hey, so I'm strongly considering NYU as it's the only place I've gotten into so far and don't really have strong hopes for anywhere else better based on the dartboard that has been my acceptance pattern. The only thing irking me so far is the whole NYC living situation and the possibility of having to subject myself to another dorm experience if I can't figure out off-campus housing. I know that a bunch of schools have Facebook pages or something similar where people will link up to live together. Does anyone know if NYU Law does the same? It would be super nice to get a group of 3-4 people together to look for cheaper/larger housing in Manhattan or Brooklyn.

I've had some pretty terrible rooming situations before, so I'm super apprehensive about craigslist or other websites where I can't necessarily stalk someone before moving in with them, and I'd like to live with other law students just to make sure we're on the same page, socialize, develop a network, etc. Also judging from past experience, I'm assuming the dorms are terrible for anyone who is looking for a social life/wants a normal sized bed. If I'm wrong, someone please let me know.

well steve you sound like a cool guy X] and while im not entirely decided on nyu yet i could be into gathering a group of four or so. its not ideal, but i could be open to splitting a room if it means cheap rent and being close to campus. dorms are crazy expensive im not down.
