No, but my roommate did. So if you were on the tour where the guy walked out in his bathrobe, I was the guy who came outside and started laughing.SteelPenguin wrote:Lavitz, did you do a Hughes Hall tour?

Didn't get to attend Casino night. How was it?
My tour guide was mad chill and from Cali. The room looked pretty big too so I was impressed with Hughes in person.

Well, there was free alcohol, so it was pretty good. I liked the food selection too (i.e. they had protein). Games weren't as lame as I expected. People actually enjoyed it despite playing with fake money. We also had an awesome blackjack dealer.Bajam wrote:Didn't get to attend Casino night. How was it?

I enjoyed the admitted student day, but last night was great. The wine and food at casino night was fantastic and everyone was cool. Did anyone else go to the house party down the hill and then to Level B?

I still won't make up my mind until $ comes out...but I've absolutely loved it here the past two days. Everyone is incredibly nice & the campus is beautiful. I've been impressed by everything I've seen.AAJD2B wrote:Anyone sold on Cornell thus far?

One 2L I was talking to last night was double-fisting plastic cups of beer. I wonder if that says more about him than the fact that that made me more likely to come to Cornell says about me.

Ohhh, okay. That's such a long time! I'm filled will all sorts of false hopes, since they have been v generous with me and my sibling as undergrads, but law school aid is not the samevicpin5190 wrote:No, I was accept ED and had to turn in my deposit within 5 days of notification. This was back in January (10th). And it took until today for them to actually withdraw the deposit from my bank account. I'm still waiting on scholarship/financial aid info (though my hopes aren't up).anyriotgirl wrote:Wait did they get you scholarship info already?vicpin5190 wrote:My deposit was finally taken off my debit account. Speaking of financial aid, can anyone who attended ASD confirm what was said about it? I heard a rumor that they said it would take a few more weeks.

Was there. They said they wanted to do it ASAP, especially if you were admitted earlier (they insinuated we were more valuable to them, though I don't know if that is just talk for ASW). However, it's hard for me to see them being able to give awards (which are partly based on who else is in the class) until the end of this month given the deadline.Lavitz wrote:Speaking of financial aid, can anyone who attended ASD confirm what was said about it? Re: Cornell Class of 2017
I only ask because the website says early March, although I'm not surprised that they're being slow. If it is in a few weeks, then that's perfectly in line with last year, when they came out on March 25th. But they have given out merit awards before the deadline in the past, when they the dean's scholarship applications came with acceptances.linkx13 wrote:Was there. Re: Cornell Class of 2017
That's not what was insinuated at all. They said they were going to start sending offers within the next two weeks, and that that for later admits financial aid offers would continue to be released into April. Keep in mind, some people were just accepted today. It's not that they don't value those people, they just have a long list of financial aid offers to process and release, so people that get in later will hear later.linkx13 wrote:Was there.
