Re: NYU Class of 2017 - New Photos in OP!
Is it possible to appeal more than once? I am thinking of appealing my aid decision now based on the offers I have (+ the fact I really want to go to NYU), but if I don't get a positive response, I may want to appeal again if other offers come in. Is that possible to do? Thanks!

Yea, I'm wondering the same. Even if you can't via the merit page. I'm sure you can try to negotiate after through emails. At the least, it can't hurt.cal wrote:Is it possible to appeal more than once? Sorry if this has been asked before, but how long has it generally taken to get merit/need aid info after Need Access and FAFSA are submitted?
Also, any EDers get any aid?

I'm hoping so, I haven't got my initial offer yet, but based on what I've seen here I'm not super optimistic.Theopliske8711 wrote:Yea, I'm wondering the same. Even if you can't via the merit page. Re: NYU Class of 2017 - New Photos in OP!
Finally received my RTK rejection email today. Disappointing, as this is my first law school "rejection," and doubly so because it's from my alma mater. The silver lining is that my choice about which school to attend just became a million times easier.
Good luck to all who are interviewing at the end of the month! Tell Bryan Stevenson I said hi.

Anyone in the NYC area going to the reception on Monday? I'm thinking about RSVPing.

Anyone in NY planning on attending either of the Trustee receptions for admitted students? The first is at McKinsey, the second is at Cravath - trying to decide which one I would like to attend.

LOL just asked this. I'm planning on the March 24th one because I have grad school during the Cravath one.Humbert Humbert wrote:Anyone in NY planning on attending either of the Trustee receptions for admitted students? I'd be down for some free food and drinks, but I think I missed the RSVP date at this point. I'll be at the Cravath one however, as its a short walk from my office.

Excited to be checking in to this thread and eagerly waiting for the financial aid picture to come into focus.
I am also looking at attending one of the Trustee receptions. Can anyone draw any distinction between the two?

Anyone know how long the turnaround should be on merit aid appeals? In theory it should take a smaller amount of time because they don't need to pore over your finances, but I'm not sure.
Based on previous threads or what you've heard from others, any idea how many weeks it might take for a result on the appeal?

The RSVP date is actually 3/20 so you're still good for McKinsey if you wantTheopliske8711 wrote:paglababa wrote:Who's going to the NYU reception at McKinsey on Monday? Also, excited about visiting the school next week!

I don't believe there is one, besides the date and the venues.BuddyHoller wrote:Excited to be checking in to this thread and eagerly waiting for the financial aid picture to come into focus.

Oh yea, and it's literally like 3 blocks from my office. So yea, I guess I'll go. I don't want to RSVP and not be able to make it, though.paglababa wrote:The RSVP date is actually 3/20 so you're still good for McKinsey if you wantTheopliske8711 wrote:paglababa wrote:Who's going to the NYU reception at McKinsey on Monday? Are they done notifying RTK finalists? I still haven't heard anything.

Similar question: anyone get a definite no about the Furman Academic Scholarship, or just an implicit no?whippersnappery wrote:Neither have I.Ryan11212 wrote:Are they done notifying RTK finalists? I still haven't heard anything.

I got a hard no from Furman. They emailed me saying I wasn't selected as a finalist.stephenholder wrote:Similar question: anyone get a definite no about the Furman Academic Scholarship, or just an implicit no?whippersnappery wrote:Neither have I.Ryan11212 wrote:Are they done notifying RTK finalists?
