Some schools may have their own form they use. If your school doesn't you can download the form from the admitted students website under the "enroll" section.

I have one spot available in a 3 bedroom near Columbia. Should cost about 1095/mo has dishwasher and washer/dryer in the apartment. You'd be 10 minutes walking from Columbia. Lease would start 9/1, you'd be able to move in a little earlier than that.

woah. just checked the specialty housing prices & descriptions on columbia's website, and prices / descriptions have changed since the last time i read over them (like a week ago). huhhh

i mean i appreciate the info but this could've been useful like, before may 15th smh

What has changed?

prices and descriptions. there's more clarity now about which buildings have furnished / unfurnished rooms, and the prices are definitely different (slightly higher) than when i read over them ~2 weeks ago. nothing drastic, i was just curious if anyone else had picked up on this

They raise rents at the end of each spring semester, so if the increased prices are somewhere in the 4% range that could be why.

Also hoping the loan application deadline is pretty flexible bc I don't want to apply until I decide whether I'm deferring.

Believe their language is more along the lines of, "we reserve the right to revoke your offer...". I imagine you'll be fine - I had initially planned on double-depositing pending a financial aid decision at CLS; I contacted the admissions office and was very up-front with them about my plans, where I stood, etc. I told them I wanted to make sure I was honoring their policy/process and they told me outright that I'd be okay. Luckily things worked out more quickly than I expected and I didn't wind up having to double-deposit, but I wouldn't sweat it.

That could be the case; I actually got my information over the phone as well, and the sense I got was that it was a definite no-no and that if they found out I could be looking at a revocation of my offer. Perhaps the admissions person I spoke with just had a more draconian interpretation of the policy.
