Also, I don't see Columbia Law School listed, only Columbia University in the City of New York. Is this right?
Yes, and yes.

Anybody else having a panic attack about sending in their loan request form? I'm not even paying sticker. TLS, give me strength.

Yeah bro (broette?). Similiar feels here. I keep telling myself that if it doesn't make sense to take out these loans at CLS, it doesn't make sense anywhere. And it surely makes sense somewhere.
You can use an excel spreadsheet to figure out your takehome minus loan payment (there's a function that calculates monthly loan payments), minus NYC rent, minus taxes. It doesn't look too shabby at all--especially if you weren't pulling down a ton of money before law school.

You're right, and I'm a splitter, and I wouldn't be getting a better deal anywhere else that's remotely comparable, and I already live in NYC and am doing fine on my paltry salary, and I've been having this conversation with myself since I deferred in 2013! I need to bite the bullet.
And yes, I am a bro-ette.

I didn't send it in for a couple days because of basically this. Writing out the dollar amounts for the loan request was unpleasant, and I am not paying sticker either. But you'll be fine. As papercut mentioned, if we're going to take out loans for law school Columbia is about as safe of a bet to repay them as you can get.
It was especially fun when the entrance counseling suggested I needed to earn a salary of $400K+ to avoid financial hardship while in repayment.

low-level nervous breakdown, but no panic attacks yet. about a 3.6 on the EquallyWrong mental stability richter scale.

What do we need to do after signing the MPN? Where is this loan request form? I assume there should be two (one for Stafford, one for grad plus, right?

The loan request form came with your grant/stafford loan email. It's one page.

Do we fill out the loan request form each year or are we estimating for all 3 years?

Each year. Don't let it stress you out. I called them a few days ago and they said they would give people a few days after the deadline to get everything in, and if you have documents missing they'll just let you know. But I would still try to get them out today.

My form came along with my emailed aid offer, but you can also find it on the accepted students site (somewhere...)
MPN = master promissory note, which is what you fill out on the government student loans site after you finish your online "loan counseling"

Kinda freaking out because my grant/Stafford email didn't come with a loan request form... I emailed the financial aid office but I'll call tomorrow first thing.
