When the status check says that the financial aid application is in the final stage of review, does that mean I will be hearing possibly tomorrow? Or does the final review stage take longer?

I've been in the final stage since 1/27, but I'm also applying for merit and need based, and I submitted for the RTK.

Same here. I also think that RTK hasn't gone out yet. Also applied for the Furman Public Policy..hopefully no invites have gone out there either...

Haha, I know right!? I got it and my reaction was "I thought it would be bigger... that's what she said!" However, I actually really liked the brochures inside, my favorite brochures of the cycle.

Agreed, that it was very nice - wayyy nicer than the small envelope Yale Law sent me. I haven't opened it yet, but obviously it's an acceptance and full tuition scholarship.

Got the email about the schedule for ASW, I'm mad excited.

Guys idk what to do. I really want to do an ASW but I have zero days off during those days and would have to be "out sick" for two days. I am already taking a day to do the IILJ day before the late March days. Any suggestions? I teach in the city so I could make all the afternoon stuff but I'd miss a lot of good stuff.

If you're from the area, I don't think ASWs are really that important. You already have a good feel of what it's like and if you would feel comfortable there, and the official events are just sitting around listening to people talk. They might be saying something interesting, but it's not going to be particularly unique to NYU and you'll have plenty of time to listen to that later.

They might be saying something interesting, but it's not going to be particularly unique to NYU and you'll have plenty of time to listen to that later.

This. I would recommend finding a time to visit a class, but it doesn't have to be during ASW.

Not gunna lie, the first time I read about NYU sending out "pizza boxes" I did think they would contain real pizza. But even then I figured it would only be for applicants in the NYC area. Hence the name optimist I suppose
