If you don't mind sitting/standing for a while, you can take the subway which should cost about 8 dollars. Way cheaper than a $45 before tip taxi.Power_of_Facing wrote:Hola, Native New Yorkians!
Question from a Non-Yorker trying to get into Manhattan from JFK on a budget lateish at night ~11:30pm.
The train/bus options seem kind of nightmarish, and shelling out $50.00 for a cab isn't all that appealing either... So, does anyone have any tricks up their sleeve? Or should I just quit whining and pay up? Also, are Ubers from the airport pretty easy to get at that time of night?
Thanks.

Two weeks after you submit via the Need Access website or two weeks after it shows application complete on NYUs award status page?barrelofmonkeys wrote:I think it's like, 2 weeks, except if you applied for a named scholly.bb2418 wrote:How long does it take to get your fin aid award after submitting the need access form?

LOL Uber is way more expensive than a cab, so if you were thinking Uber go cab. Train option (Airtrain to A) is not terrible as you are on the train most of the time. Also, if you are considering moving to NYC, taking the late night train is a must experience. For shits and giggles.Power_of_Facing wrote:Hola, Native New Yorkians!

Best way to get to Manhattan from JFK is the LIRR to Penn Station. Way less hellish than the subway and the ride is a hell of a lot shorter.yomisterd wrote:Power_of_Facing wrote:
