I love when Harvard just tweets my TLS posts:

Hahaha I am pretty sure the JS would have had a better GPA than me. :)

Hmmm... I got one, I don't know if it's a big deal if you didn't though.
:( Guess I better go figure out if my registration didn't go through. Couple that with the fact that I haven't received a book - clearly my admission has been revoked and it's time to freak out.

My registration was sent to my Harvard email account -- have you checked for it there?

I'm taking the train. Waaaaay more expensive, but so much nicer and easier. I figured I'm gonna be stressed as hell (because I'm a crazy person), so taking the train, which I know how to navigate and is an easy trip from home, will save me some additional stress. One train (1 train) to Penn Station > finding random street where bus picks everyone up and then waiting in the cold because I've arrived 30 minutes earlier than necessary.

That's understandable.

FWIW - greyhound is very easy at Port Authority, and I just got my tickets for $46 round trip

Is ASW usually where people find roommates for next year?

I will definitely be off-campus and would like to avoid the $1800/mo for a one-bedroom craziness. And from everything I've read, seems like Boston apartments need to be found months in advance... Plus my lease ends in July.

Welp, I know what I'll be doing next time. Luckily I got my round trip for $140 so it wasn't as bad as it could have been (I got the last $70 tickets that worked for getting there Saturday and leaving Monday.. from there you had to spend at least $100 a piece).

Anyone else getting all jittery and anxious for this weekend? I feel like I'm heading off to college for the first time again.. or kindergarten. Gonna meet all my new school buddies. So silly. X)

That's pretty good for Amtrak.

I'm super duper excited for this weekend. I've been looking forward to this for a long time.

Update: I called in and found out that yes I am registered, but no they had not sent a confirmation email yet, but would be doing so in the next few days. I registered weeks ago, so other people who don't have confirmation emails likely need not worry.

Thanks for sharing that, now I won't have to bug them about the same thing. 8)

Oh man...

I sent in my acceptance to Harvard a while back, but today I officially withdrew from consideration at all other schools. And misspelled withdrawal in the subject line of each e-mail :x .

Phew! This is it. Hard to believe.

I wish I had the chance to meet you all this weekend, but I'll be at the April ASW. Can't wait for April and can't wait for fall.

Best of luck to those of you still waiting/deciding.

Oh also, with regard to housing and such, I'm moving early in the summer, so I'll post on here to share my experience. I'll be living off campus or in HUH housing, whichever is the better deal. Something to keep in mind: rent for HUH housing includes electricity and heat (which can get very expensive in Boston winters).

I'll be at april ASW most likely. I'm assuming HUH houses undergrads as well?

All Harvard undergrads live in the Houses and the yard dorms, which are separate from the grad student housing.

Well that's a facepalm if I've ever seen one! But wow congrats! I'm impressed that people can do this without even seeing the aid package.

so I tried to begin the app for HLS housing (HAHLS) but the appliation says that it "will not be open until 04/01/14." Am I in the wrong place, or is something wrong with my permissions/account?

I followed this link for reference: https://hahls.law.harvard.edu/
It was the link provided in the HLS Housing email...
Thanks for any help.

It's not open yet. I'm not sure why they didn't separate incoming 0Ls from current students in that email blast, but that's where the confusion arose.

My situation is a little unique because my spouse will be getting her masters in Boston at the same time and I'm a public interest type so Harvard's LRAP matters to me.

For me, the decision wound up being pretty easy and painless (but it was stressful, I am still on a fight-or-flight adrenaline kick from sending out those "withdrawl" e-mails  )
