As am I - at the couple ASW's that I went to, I got the sense that there were fewer TLSers than I thought there'd be.

LOL very true. I don't think I would out myself or try to hint at TLS unless someone straight up asked me. Because you would only ask if you were a TSLer yourself right?

It's also fun trying to guess who you'll be friends with based on fb.

I'm trying so hard to resist the urge to creep on FB (its not working too well) because it's always a strange feeling when you're meeting someone for the first time and you act like strangers even though you know all this stuff about them.

I submitted the form for housing but didn't have to pay. I saw elsewhere that people had to put down a 1,000 housing deposit-- did I do this wrong? Or does the deposit come into play once you've been approved? (sorry if this is a really dumb question, and if it's been answered elsewhere)

We haven't had to pay for any housing stuff yet.

Ha! I missed that post. Arrived at that conclusion on other things though so I am still proud of my sleuthing abilities. (I call it sleuthing.)

Are you sure? Facebook loves to "deactivate" you instead of deleting your profile. If you are just "deactivated," your profile, friends, etc. are all still there and you can activate at any moment.

I have a friend who is deactivated but she makes her profile active for brief moments if she feels especially compelled to "stalk" for a few hours and then deactivates again. She does this 2 or 3 times a year. LOL.

My appeal for an increased award was finally denied. However, the initial offer was decent and now that all negotiations are done I can finally say I deposited!

Columbia said they regret to inform me that they won't be able to adjust their award of 50K.

Tomorrow I will regret to inform them that I am withdrawing. As great a school as CLS is, no way is it worth 115K + interest and COL more than UVA.
