THANK YOU FOR THIS! I would have had to pay twice as much per month if I transferred insurance from my last apartment.

Yeah, the answer is almost always to switch insurers. After that first year when they send you a sob story about how inflation has caused your premium to go up 15%, switch. The real issue is that insurers tend to offer better premiums to land you as a customer and now they're treating you like a schlub they don't have to recruit.El Principe wrote:By the way...Will_McAvoy wrote:Travelers was by far the cheapest renter's (~$10/Mo) HTH

I do not recommend Geico btw. I'm still working on a claim with them from 2.5 years ago...

I had Progressive auto insurance for the last year and a half and it was one of the most pleasant experiences I have ever had with any company. Easy to get real people on the phone and super responsive/helpful.

Re: Texas Class of 2017
I meant with renter's insurance. It took me a good 4 months going back and forth between them and some of the companies they actually use for coverage to find who had my policy. Although, this is merely anecdotal and probably insufficient to warrant actually not going with them. Just a shitty experience for me.BigZuck wrote:wutAttax wrote:I do not recommend Geico btw. I won't say their service isn't bad but their car insurance sure isn't cheap.

Re: Texas Class of 2017
I had a guy with Progressive total my vehicle on the street in front of my house. My experience was less than pleasant. Progressive never came within $5,000 of offering the lowest appraisal or book value (I ended up having to file with my own insurance co and have them subrogate against Progressive).BigZuck wrote:I had Progressive auto insurance for the last year and a half and it was one of the most pleasant experiences I have ever had with any company. I actually just switched to them when I moved to Texas. Progressive quoted me like 70 bucks a month and Geico was like 35.El Principe wrote:Attax wrote:I do not recommend Geico btw. I'm still working on a claim with them from 2.5 years ago...

Same here. Got a few hypotheticals in our little intro class this morning about the court procedures, had one girl take 7 pages of notes. What is the point of that?Will_McAvoy wrote:Gunners outing themselves bright and early today in two. Why did I come to law school again?

UT here. There should have been a three response limit for that 'how to do a brief' class today.
