He meant that all of us who have already received Dean's Scholarships were all told about our schollys on the same day. We never directly compared admissions days but it seems like there was a lot of variety about when we each were admitted. In other words, schollys came after admissions not with your acceptance package.

There was no merit aid application for things like Dean's Scholarships and Darrow invites. Every applicant is considered upon acceptance. TBF, everyone who applied before a certain date heard back in a batch so its hard to tell how scholly decisions will proceed from this point. It's possible that Michigan will release scholly decisions on a rolling basis now that they have started or they might do another big batch. Either way, you shouldn't be worried yet.

Thanks Kershka and dglenn. So then it sounds like nobody admitted after December's magic scholarship day got heard about scholarships yet? (The scant data on LSN seems to indicate that too). Whether we hear as a batch or one at a time, it sounds like, as you say, I probably shouldn't worry yet and they still might offer something. Thanks.

This was not the case for me. I was accepted at the beginning of November (11/6) and just heard about my Dean's Scholarship - under the "correspondence" section of the website, it says that my award letter was mailed on 1/9, and the information went up under "your personal award info" on 1/11.

I'll also confirm that the number listed on the website is per year, not a total amount. (Eg, if the site says $100, that comes to $100 for each of the 3 years, or $300 total, with $50 applied each semester).

Forgive me if this has been answered elsewhere. Has anyone received an update in their personal award info area but NOT had any update in the admissions communication section? I suddenly have a Deans Scholarship, but have no mention of a letter explaining the scholarship in the communications section, and I'm not sure if it's an accident or not.

I don't have an answer for you but when did you get accepted? I got accepted 12/20 and haven't heard back yet re: $$

I was accepted 11/15 and just got the notice posted last Friday or Saturday I think, so don't fret!

Also, wasn't there a thread from previous years about Darrows? I know they just changed the process, but it could still be useful, maybe. I'm having trouble finding it.

Did anyone manage to sign up for ASW before the link disappeared? (alternatively, am I a total doofus and just not seeing where the button is anymore?)

There's a weird semi-link that will take you to registration under the financial aid page but I'm betting it's not supposed to be there so I'm assuming we shouldn't sign up yet? Or are we okay to do so?

Good news!! Last time they closed because of weather was back before my parents graduated high school. Which, on one hand, is a pretty hilarious thing to be able to tell people, but I'd rather have them actually close the school when temps are as cold as they were last week.

Yep, it's the same video. If you go to Admissions Communications in the admitted students website, the "flash drive" link in the offer package mailing takes you to the same video.

Yes. Attending the ASW is your chance to learn more about the school before making a decision on whether or not to attend.

The flash drive should be stored in flap near the opening of the folder, unless they really forgot to put one in yours.
