Question about Clerkship Writing Sample

Post by Anonymous User » Thu Aug 20, 2026 3:14 pm

I am a current district court clerk applying for COA clerkships. My judge does not permit me to submit any work prepared in chambers as a writing sample. Do you think it is worth saying something about this in the cover letter attached to my writing sample?

Something like: "Because my current chambers does not permit draft work product to be shared externally, attached is __"?
