Have heard of multiple judges interviewing and hiring today already. Guess no one really cares about the plan as much anymore.

Wait until tomorrow. Weird that there are so many reaching out today, but that doesn't necessarily mean everyone (or even a majority) is doing so.

My impression of the early movers has been that they tend to be the feeder judges who “follow” the plan insofar as they wait to extend offers until this week, but they interview/offer on Monday with the tippy top candidates. So it’s the most competitive judges interviewing the most competitive candidates. To be frank, it doesn’t really impact your average applicant aiming for an “average”/non-feeder clerkship.

have also heard of interviews today before 12pm, which is odd. I guess judges are starting to go the OCI-route!

I would expect the more selective COA and feeder-level judges like Boasberg to have already moved and have interviews/offers be completely done within the next 24-48 hours.

There have been a flurry of offers in DDC. I've heard about a few of the newer judges giving out a few offers. TBD over the next 24 hrs.

I was offered an interview at 9am ET today from a judge in a small city, so some are definitely hustling to secure clerks.

Judge Moore (6th Cir.) has made at least one offer for 2028-2029.

Do some judges NOT move this week? Like do some judges just collect applications and start reviewing next week/ in the future? Anyone know

Yep, there are plenty of judges who don't want to be bothered with the rushed nature of Plan hiring and will hire off-cycle. My judge hired on-Plan this year for 2027-28 but sat out the plan last year and filled 2026-27 entirely off-cycle.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
