T14 3.5 GPA with District Court Clerkship
I have a district court clerkship already lined up, after 1 year in BL. I want to do a COA, is it even worth trying? I am Fedsoc and was on the board. Secondary journal but also did HJLPP (guest editor, obviously not at Harvard lol).

Know plenty of very average conservative law students who land COA clerkships. You’ve got a great shot - just literally a matter of where you want to clerk.

Where should I be looking? I am from CA, but went to school where the 8th Circuit is and have ties near there. I am willing to go just about anywhere. Also, How broadly should I apply? Obviously not like feeders, but should I be targeting only seniors?Anonymous User wrote: ↑Mon Jun 09, 2025 1:18 amKnow plenty of very average conservative law students who land COA clerkships.
