2025-2026 Post-Clerkship Hiring
Creating this thread now given how weird the market is at the moment and how unclear the hiring timeline can be. Has anyone started this process? If so, how’s it going? What are you looking for/what are your general credentials? If not, what’s your plan? Are those who were previously at firms able to return if they wish to do so? Thanks in advance for contributing.

I /think/ it’s probably a little too early to start, just based on the recruiting cadence at my DC firm. (But to one of your later questions, I quit my job to clerk last Friday and got the standard “just call us when you’re ready to come back” offer).
