I need to make a decision soon. I need to choose between a bankruptcy clerkship (1 year), and a probate clerkship (2 years). I'm interested in both bankruptcy and T&E work, but I'm trying to choose the one that'd be better for me long-term or would open more opportunities.
I was told by a family law clerk that probate won't open as many doors as a bankruptcy one, and I'm trying to get a 2nd opinion, as I want to go into private practice. Both clerkships are in the same geographic region. The clerkship person at my school wants me to choose bankruptcy because it's federal
I only saw a thread discussing probate briefly, so I'd like to hear from someone who knows about it.
