Just wanted to chime in that after nearly 6 months of applications, I finally got 2 screener interviews and one callback in NY, for two V80 firms.

I know this thread has been dead for weeks/months, but I wanted to share that I just received an offer for a V50 firm in DC. I heard rumors of peer firms not offering clerkship bonuses, but I received one without asking. This hiring cycle has been horrible, but I'm so thankful it worked out for me in just the nick of time, before my clerkship ended. There is still hope/time left for anyone still looking as well! I hope you all keep at it and land somewhere great.

This is uplifting as my judge wants to know know in coming weeks if I plan to extend my December term up to a year and firms have been busy with oci to really get a handle of the fall offerings before locking myself into another term

CONGRATS! Would you be willing to tell us if the bonus was below/at/above market?

THANK YOU! Market bonus! and they determined my base salary based on graduation year. I mention that because I know someone who accepted a post-clerkship biglaw offer in NY at a Vault 20 firm that docked them a class year, allegedly to provide a "longer runway to partnership" for their own good.

Does anyone have any insight into O'Melveny's post-clerkship hiring practices? Looking at their website, it looks like they recruit "Experienced Lawyers" and "Law Students," but I'm doing a post-school federal clerkship so not sure which of those categories I fall into.
