Near a 4.0 with an H in fed courts/admin and recs from profs who I know pretty well at HLS with nothing. Feeling reallllll bad.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Wed Jun 16, 2021 1:19 pmI have above a 3.8 at CLS and most of my classes were "real" black letters. Recommenders I know pretty well who made calls. Applied to lots of non-NY judges. Nothing. Really curious if this is happening to others.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Wed Jun 16, 2021 12:57 pmAt CLS know a bunch of people hearing nothing from NY judges even with great #s.

Re: Movement
Many of the judges who have moved so far on 2/SDNY basically require RBG at CLS, which limits them to like 20 people, but most SDNY judges do not. You’ll be fine in the end, esp if you applied beyond NY.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Wed Jun 15, 2022 2:36 amThis is not uncommon. Re: Movement
For DDC: I saw Boasberg and Cobb somewhere in the thread. Any others folks have heard of moving?

Re: Movement
I saw movement from Cobb and Boasberg in the 23-23 thread -- has anyone heard of other DDC judges moving? I'm specifically interested in the 24-25 offers (though I'd also imagine that's what Cobb and Boasberg are hiring for)

Re: Movement
How do people usually find out about interviews and when? For example, by phone the week of plan apps sending. I know plan apps just sent this morning but I am already checking my phone like a fool.

Re: Movement
Is it fair to say that the only judges calling within the first 1-4 hours are the ones who had already pre-selected candidates?

If you're a rising 3L, then you (probably) won't hear anything until noon ET tomorrow. Fair game otherwise.meowbobcat wrote: ↑Mon Jun 12, 2023 1:47 pmHow do people usually find out about interviews and when? For example, by phone the week of plan apps sending. How detrimental is it if my LoRs are arriving in late? Think I had issue with auto attach feature

Re: Movement
As was the case last year, I know of at least a few judges on CA2/SDNY/EDNY who have filled some of their on-plan spots with 3Ls and graduates over the last few weeks. Just another word of caution to apply broadly and see if you can figure out from friends in chambers what a judge's hiring needs are before asking all of your recommenders to call.

Re: Movement
This is so unbelievably frustrating when it would be so much easier for judges to be transparent and update OSCAR. Not everyone has friends in chambers to call. Sigh. I know I'm preaching to the choir here, but come on!Anonymous User wrote: ↑Mon Jun 12, 2023 5:21 pmAs was the case last year, I know of at least a few judges on CA2/SDNY/EDNY who have filled some of their on-plan spots with 3Ls and graduates over the last few weeks. Re: Movement
The vast vast majority of us will hear nothing, especially in the first days/weeks of plan. It's just how this thing works. It's basically a lottery, and there's too many interested people for too few slots. I feel like the plan really heightens this feeling of "it has to happen immediately," but the reality is it won't for most of us. Hang in there.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Tue Jun 13, 2023 2:03 pmtop 10% at mvp with a district lined up for 23. Hearing absolutely nothing. Feels bad man.
