Recommendation Question

Post by letmelearnlaws » Thu Feb 18, 2021 2:18 pm

So, I'm a 3L about to start sending out my applications on OSCAR. I've got a rec letter from my 1L summer job (district court judge) that I plan on using. However, the letter doesn't specify that it's for a clerkship, instead it's just a recommendation for employment generally. Do I need to ask the judge's chambers to make a new letter that specifies that it's for a clerkship, or will the letter I have be fine?

Ask for a new letter and make sure your judge is ok giving a clerkship rec.
