Transfer Chance-fer?

Post by Anonymous User » Thu Feb 04, 2021 6:25 pm

About Me:

2L transfer at CCN
GPA: Top 30%
Secondary Journal
V40-60 SA for this summer
Geographic ties to NE and Midwest

Looking at Federal District Courts; if I apply broadly enough do people think I have a shot for the 2022-2023 cycle? Not particularly picky about where I go.

Might depend on which CCN, Chicago has a pretty strong network in Midwestern district courts, CN not so much.Even at Chicago you're probably an outside candidate though. Also will depend on your grades for the rest of the year, your 1L grades, you political orientation, and your 1L school. Depending on where you want to practice you may also consider SSCs.

If you have strong ties to the midwest and get your professors to help you go all in on a few midwest dct judges, I bet you get something.
