gtown ‘21 (top 5% & e-board): got a call from 2d cir d.ct hours after applications were released; was interviewed that evening.

Silence other than that (and I applied broadly). a bit disappointed; seems likely that I did not get an offer given that the judge said that he/she was making quick decisions.

I know there's nothing we can do about it, but IMO Zoom interviews suck. I had one yesterday and two today, and no matter how accommodating people are with lagging Internet connections or choppy audio, it's just so, so awkward. Literally walked out of all 3 interviews feeling like I completely tanked them because the judge either couldn't hear what I said, or I missed part of his/her question due to the audio cutting out.

I've read the iteration of this thread in past years and remember seeing few data points for diverse candidates. I'm hoping this can be helpful for someone like me in the future--don't count yourself out!

Mid-T14, above median, LR + exec board, diverse and accepted a DDC/SDNY/NDCal offer today.

I just tell myself that everybody interviewing is in the same online boat. To the extent that we're all competing against each other, I think we're all suffering the same penalties from online interviews. But yes, it sucks.

The feeders are all basically done on DC/9th/2nd. I can't imagine that many more interview invites will go out w/ how few spots there are and the # of interviews already offered.
Does this include Owens in CA9 and Lohier in CA2?

Have seen movement for both. Would assume they're done or close to it.

Checking in in solidarity! T14, top ~5%, secondary journal (no board).

2019 grad, looking to transition out of a v10 transactional group. Got one interview bite from a non major coastal D.Ct. but otherwise radio silence

The optimist in me says the non feeder COA judges will start moving down their call lists tomorrow now that feeder judges have taken their top choices. The pessimist in me says pretty much all COA movement happened already, and my grades were just too low to make the cut.

Bump. Also no. Heard a secondhand rumor Scudder has moved though. Easterbrook may have done whatever he does with UChicago as well by now. Nothing else on the Seventh.

Some hope for the truly long shots among us. Just offered an interview for a district court in Texas.
T6, I don't know my rank but majority B's, no journal. Diverse, public interest, interesting writing sample/softs. Strong Recs from profs all of whom I've written for.
