COVID-19 Effect on Judicial Externship
To those who have a judicial externship for all of half of summer 2020, do you still have a position? If so, do you suggest reaching out to chambers to confirm your externship? I know a few externs who had their position rescinded due to COVID-19 and am wondering if others are experiencing the same.

I still have mine at EDNY. I do not know yet whether it is remote in part or whole.

Current clerk here. At least in my district, we're trying to keep the program. Some may be remote and it'll certainly be different (less going to court, more research) but I think most people won't want to screw the interns.
You'll probably get more take home writing assignments, but you'll still get substantive experience you can talk about in interviews.
Of course, another district or a judge might have a different approach.
