Post-Clerkship Law Firm Job Search - LS Transcript Screams PI

Post by Anonymous User » Mon Jul 15, 2019 10:56 am

Hello all,

I am curious if any of you have had success looking for a law firm job post-fed clerkship with a law school transcript that screams public interest. Wife wants to live in a midsize market where PI pays much worse than in other areas of the country. Can't do it with daughter in tow. About to start a fed d.ct. clerkship in market I'll be targeting after two years clerking at an intermediate-appellate state court far away from target market. Home-state bump: targeted market is an hour away from hometown. Any thoughts on chances at big law in light of home-state ties, fed d.ct. clerkship in target market, lower-T14 in different region than target market, strong GPA at grad, but below median GPA after Fall 1L, and obvious public interest emphasis during law school? (Obivously hoping clerkships outweigh the coursework, but want advice as to how to address it). PMs or thread replies welcome. Thanks!
