Put future clerkship on resume?
I'm a 3L with a clerkship lined up. A different judge I did an externship with put me in contact with an important partner at a firm I'm interested in working at after my clerkship and he's asked to see my resume before we meet. Is is appropriate/advisable to put my upcoming clerkship on my resume? I think he already knows that I have a clerkship but I'm not sure.

Yes - you can list it like any other position. Some people put "anticipated" somewhere near the date, e.g.
The Honorable John Smith, Magistrate/District/Circuit Judge
United States District Court for the X District of Y/Court of Appeals for the Zth Circuit, City, State
Judicial Law Clerk, August 2017 to August 2018 (anticipated)

OP here. Thanks for all the feedback. I added it and sent it. Keep your fingers crossed that I get a job offer with a top 5 firm of my dreams before I even start my clerkship.mjb447 wrote:Yes - you can list it like any other position. Some people put "anticipated" somewhere near the date, e.g.
