The norm is probably phone call, often with a follow-up letter but sometimes not.Anonymous User wrote:Excuse my naiveté, but how do judges typically let one know about an offer?
Mail? Phone Call? Both?

Waiting sucks. I had an interview this week where I felt like the judge and chambers were an absolute perfect fit for my personality. I have two interviews coming up next week. I'd cancel them, but I know there's no guarantee the judge offers me anything. Ugh.

Was this in the south? I had two there this week. The first felt like an absolute perfect fit until I went to the second and found they were great as well. It might just be an area thing.Anonymous User wrote:Waiting sucks. I had an interview this week where I felt like the judge and chambers were an absolute perfect fit for my personality. It's been 3 weeks since the time the judge had said would return with an answer, and 6 weeks since interview... this probably means it's a rejection right

^ if your judge is interviewing other candidates, you might just be waiting for them to get their interview. One of mine D. Ct. ones is waiting for a guy currently clerking on the 5th circuit to interview, and here I am with not even a magistrate clerkship on my resume.
I can't decide what's worse, waiting for an interview or waiting after the interview.

You'll be okay. You still have time. Worst comes to worst, there's always bankruptcy and magistrate.

3 weeks after interview, and still nothing. Emailed with a follow-up and got a reply that they're still interviewing others. Anyone else have the same experience?

I was you about a week or two ago. I was ultimately rejected via snail mail. But there are others who've been offered after 3 weeks period, so I think it's hard to predict how your situation will go. Best of luck!Anonymous User wrote:3 weeks after interview, and still nothing. Emailed with a follow-up and got a reply that they're still interviewing others. Anyone else have the same experience?
