Hello,
I'm staying anonymous since I believe this isn't a frequent occurrence. I applied to clerk for a federal magistrate through OSCAR, got the interview, and I was told that I will interview with the judge for which I applied as well as 4 other judges in a 5-on-1 style interview at the courthouse. Does anyone have experience with this or know any information about how such interview is conducted? Also, does this mean that I now have the opportunity to clerk for other judges too and not just the one for which I applied? (which would be great if that's the case) I asked our school's clerkship person about all of this, and she wasn't entirely certain. Thank you.

Re: Magistrate Panel Interview?
With the disclaimer that everything about clerkships is idiosyncratic, i think the standard for these joint interviews is that any of the judges will hire you. A couple state systems (eg MN and AK) have sort of similar processes so you might want to look there for information on the joint interview format.
