Keeping in touch with firm during clerkship?
This is probably going to be a weird question, but I'm sure it'll help at least a few people. If you've already accepted a position at a firm after the 2L summer and you're going to clerk before going back to the firm, how often and how do you keep in contact with the people at the firm? Technically, it'll be over two years until you finally get back to the firm, and it would be awkward to reconnect after two years (assuming they don't forget about you). So do you keep in contact in the meantime? With whom? And how- e-mail? how often? And at what point do you start the whole "I'm ready to get back so what now" conversation?

If you want to keep in touch, do it. If you don't, then don't.
