I am a 2L at a t-3 or t-4 law school. I am ranked #12 in my class, I am a TA, an RA, an advocate on the ABA moot court team, and I was elected to the LR Editorial board. I also externed for a federal judge last summer, and my letters of recommendation should be pretty solid.
I want to clerk for a federal magistrate after graduation. Will the fact that I go to a poorly ranked law school disqualify me?

Re: Chances of landing a magistrate clerkship
I think you're good. Not sure how many people are in your class as #12 out of 60 isn't that great but I think you have a good shot.
My friend was #5 at a T3 and clerked in a decently competitive federal d court.
